Froyda products

Who are Froyda's organic products suitable for?

Our organic food products are suitable for anyone who wants to eat a balanced diet. They are also suitable for a low-FODMAP, low-fructose, gluten-free and vegan diet. All our dishes are free from onions and garlic. We only use organic ingredients and completely avoid preservatives and unnecessary additives.

Are Froyda foods gluten-free, lactose-free, and low in fructose?

Yes, all Froyda food products are gluten-free, lactose-free, and low in fructose.

Where can I find a list of the spices used by Froyda?

We sometimes use up to 14 different spices, so it's not possible for us to list them on the product labels. However, on our website you will find a complete list of spices for each product on the respective product page under ingredients.

Are Froyda foods certified organic?

Yes, we use only certified organic ingredients and all our products are certified organic by the GfRS. The inspection body number is DE-ÖKO-039.

What is the shelf life of Froyda food products?

Froyda products can be kept unrefrigerated for 18 months from the date of manufacture. The best-before date is indicated on the lid. Unless otherwise stated, delivered jars have at least 2 months until the best-before date.

How should the jars be stored?

Store in a cool dry place under 25℃. No refrigeration required for storage of unopened jars. Refrigerate once opened and consume soon.

Why are Froyda foods packaged in glass jars?

Glass does not interact with other materials and does not release any harmful substances. It is neutral in odour and taste. From a health point of view, glass is the best packaging material for food.

Glass is also infinitely recyclable and therefore better than plastic packaging in terms of sustainability and waste avoidance.

Is food that has been preserved in jars nutritious?

In short, yes. Apart from Vitamin C and some B vitamins which are heat sensitive, most other nutrients like protein, carbs and fibre are retained well through the preservation process. We do not use any artificial preservatives.

How do you achieve long shelf-life at ambient temperature?

We don’t use any preservatives. Our meals are solely preserved through a combination of heat, pressure and vacuum, which is industry standard, but customised in our case to achieve optimum taste and nutrient retention.

Do you use any additives, preservatives, artificial aids or colours?

No, we do not use any additives, preservatives, artificial aids or colours in any of our foods. We also don't use artificial thickeners or emulsifiers, as they may be difficult to digest for some people. Therefore separation of liquids and solids may occur. This is completely natural and does not affect the quality and safety of the product.

Froyda foods for a low FODMAP diet

Are all Froyda foods low FODMAP?

Yes, all our foods are developed according to the low FODMAP guidelines of the Monash University in Australia.

Which Froyda foods are certified low FODMAP?

All our stews and soups have been certified low FODMAP by the Monash University in Australia.

Are Froyda sauces low FODMAP?

All Froyda sauces have been developed according to the low FODMAP guidelines of Monash University and are low FODMAP. They have not yet been certified.

Please note the FODMAP SMART symbol on the front of the sauce label. This tells you how many low FODMAP portions the jar contains. Our Tikka Masala Sauce, for example, contains 2 portions per jar - you should therefore consume a maximum of half the sauce per meal.

How much can I eat per meal if I'm on a FODMAP diet?

The FODMAP SMART symbol on the front of each jar tells you how many low FODMAP portions the jar contains. For example, our Carrot Soup contains one portion per jar - this means you can enjoy the entire contents in one meal. Our Tikka Masala Sauce, on the other hand, contains 2 portions per jar - here you should only consume half of the sauce per meal. Please leave approximately 4 hours between meals. 

Shipping and refunds

When will I receive my order?

Orders within Germany are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days once the order has been fulfilled. International orders are usually delivered within 8 to 14 working days once the order has been fulfilled.

The estimated delivery date is shown in the email that you'll receive from our shipping partner (usually DPD or UPS). You can find a list of shipping costs by country here.

If at any time you have a question about shipping, please write to us at support@froyda.de. Please make sure you have your tracking number from the confirmation email ready.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we also deliver internationally. You can find a list of the countries we deliver to here. Unfortunately, we do not currently deliver to the USA or Australia.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

If something has been damaged in transit, please email us at support@froyda.de with the order number and a photo of the damaged product for a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot replace damaged products.

How do I tell if the jar is sealed and the contents are good to consume?

We use safety lids on all our jars, so that you can easily see whether or not the jar is properly sealed and the contents good for consumption.

If the lid's button is down, it means the vacuum is intact and the contents are good to eat. On the other hand, if the button is up and you can push it down (you will hear it making a sound) then the jar is no longer sealed. In this case the contents should not be consumed.

What do I do if I don't like the products?

That's impossible :) All Jokes aside. We know tastes differ. If you dislike the taste of something and want a refund, you can return unopened and sealed jars to us. We will refund the full price of the returned jars. The refund won’t include the cost of shipping, however.
